Dual Booting and Overdeployment

Hi,

I have a question concerning overdeployment of licenses. My company has me setting up a dual boot on multiple machines, and I've been installing Symantec on partitions. Of course, in the symantec endpoint protection manager, the same machine is showing up twice because symantec has been installed on it twice. (only one is active at a time though). This is triggering overdeployment warnings. Are machines unprotected when the overdeployment triggers or only when there are more ACTIVE machines than there are licenses?

Is there a better way to do what I'm trying to do?
